Henderson roads and the crashes they see
Henderson is Nevada's second-largest city, and its traffic splits between fast arterials and quiet master-planned neighborhoods. The I-215 and I-11 interchange, St. Rose Parkway, Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway carry most of the serious crashes, along with Green Valley Parkway and Eastern Avenue through the retail districts. Weekend traffic toward Lake Mead adds boats on trailers and recreational vehicles to the mix.
Henderson Police and city reports
Crashes inside city limits are usually handled by the Henderson Police Department rather than Metro, so the report comes from a different agency than it would for a crash a mile away in Paradise. Ask for the event or report number at the scene. If police did not investigate and someone was hurt or damage passed $750, the DMV's SR-1 report is due within 10 days; the Nevada accident guide explains it.
Neighborhood incidents
Henderson's family neighborhoods see more dog bites, bicycle crashes near schools and parks, and falls at HOA-maintained common areas than the tourist corridor does. See the dog bite page and pedestrian and bicycle page for those situations.
Treatment and next steps
Henderson has hospitals including St. Rose Dominican's Siena campus and Henderson Hospital, and serious trauma may be taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Keep every record and bill. Injury lawsuits in Nevada generally must be filed within two years (NRS 11.190(4)(e)), and fault is shared under NRS 41.141. Nearby areas we cover include the Strip and Paradise and North Las Vegas.
